Morris Abrahamson: Born in Szczuczyn, Russia in March 20, 1891. In 1908, at the age of 16 years, Morris joined his oldest brother, Shai in Malmo, Sweden and they changed their name to Abrahamson (son of Abraham). He set his sights southwards and in 1912 sailed for Africa finding his way to the new colony of Rhodesia. In 1916 he joined the Southern Rhodesia Volunteer Reserve. He met up with the Shawzins, in-laws to Leah Bejrachowicz. The Shawzins, having brought out her sister Sarah, had now brought out Leah specifically to meet the eligible young Morris Abrahamson. They were married in 1921 and had two children, Abraham Eliezer (Abe) and Rebecca (Rena). Morris acquired a property stand for £1,100 in Bulawayo and built a general dealer’s store that supported the family. In 1926 he built a house next door the store where the family lived until just before the war and in that same year, it would soon employ Morris’ youngest brother Eliezer (Leizer), who had fled the Tsar’s army and having been caught up in the Russian civil war, was eventually able to join his brother in Rhodesia in 1926. Abe married Anita Rabinowitz and had 3 children; Irene, Lawrence and Martin. Rena married Freddy Reiff and had 3 children, David, Leora and Hylton. As his family grew, Morris would hold many positions of distinction in various communal organizations such as the Bulawayo Hebrew Congregation, the Chevra Kadisha, the Free Loan Society, the Chovevei Zion and the Central African Zionist Organization. Morris also owned a clothing factory, Matabeleband Clothing with Abe and Freddy. Morris died in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on March 30, 1985 (10th Sivan) aged 93 years.
Leah Abrahamson (Bejrachowicz): Born in Bialystok, Russia on January 28, 1896 and left for South Africa onto Bulawayo, Rhodesia where she married Morris Abrahamson in 1921. They had 2 children; Abraham Eliezer (Abe) and Rebecca (Rena). She died in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on August 12, 1948 (8th Av) aged 52 years.

Rebecca (Rena): Born on March 13, 1926 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Living in Toronto, Canada.
